The Electricity Authority of Cyprus informs the public that on Friday, 10 July 2026, during the morning hours, specifically between 08:30 and 09:30, a scheduled drone flight will be conducted in the Kapsalos area of the Municipality of Limassol, along Kostis Palamas and Ioannou Chrysostomou Streets.
The flight will be conducted in collaboration with the Municipality of Limassol as part of an EAC technical study aimed at mapping the existing electricity distribution network and supporting the planning of its expansion in the area.
The flight will be conducted at an appropriate and safe altitude, in accordance with the applicable legislative, regulatory, and operational requirements governing the use of unmanned aircraft, including Regulation (EU) 2019/947, as well as the relevant requirements of the competent Civil Aviation Authority.
During the flight, photographs and video footage may be captured solely for the purposes of this specific technical study. All data collected will be used exclusively for the aforementioned purpose and will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (including the application of data masking techniques) on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data, as well as the applicable national legislation on data protection.
